CAMN is a chiropractic PPO that was formed by chiropractors and is owned and operated by chiropractors. The goal of CAMN is to have a membership that is large enough to negotiate fair and equitable contracts with insurance companies.
The credentialing fee to join CAMN is $150. For every doctor that joins, CAMN will contribute $25 to the Minnesota Chiropractic Association's "War Chest".
CAMN does require members to maintain malpractice insurance coverage of not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate.
Another requirement for membership is proper documentation of patient care. CAMN has established documentation guidelines that are based on Dr. Richard Olson’s
Procedural/Utilization Facts; Chiropractic/Physical Therapy Treatment Standards; A Reference Guide; 5th Edition and
Guidelines for Chiropractic Quality Assurance and Practice Parameters; Proceedings of the Mercy Center Consensus Conference.
As part of the credentialing process, CAMN requests that you submit a sample of your actual documentation that includes one actual new patient exam accompanied by pertinent patient information including, but not limited to, intake information such as review of systems, past and present history, family history, all examination and diagnostic findings and interpretations, diagnosis and treatment plan. Please also submit the daily notes for two dates of service for two separate patients. We will review your documentation to ensure it meets our requirements. If you would like more information on the Documentation Guidelines, please visit
Utilization Review.
